WHAT ARE WAXED PAINTINGS?

Mixed media (mainly Watercolour & Ink) paintings on cotton watercolour paper are preserved with UV protection, waxed, and then affixed to a wood form which gives a contemporary presentation. The wide edges are either a natural wood colour or stained in neutral grey. The information below the painting indicates whether it’s in a floating frame.

No glass. No frame needed. Simple.
